Hogwarts Dream-cast | Cate Blanchett as Queen Maeve

Queen Maeve was a famous witch who lived in Medieval times. Before the establishment of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, she was involved in the training of young wizards and witches in her native Ireland. She was immortalised on a Chocolate Frog Card.

Her title may indicate she´s muggle-born or half-blood, as Remus Lupin mentions there are no princes in the wizarding world and thus, probably no queens or it means that she married a muggle king.

Me personally, I believe her role have influenced the founding of Hogwarts, which is why I did this dream-role.

Luna Lovegood, Ravenclaw, Naturalist-Witch, Unmarried at this time.
Often ridiculed and compared to Uric the Oddball (on the Daily Prophet) yet, one of the very highly respected witch of her times.

Rowling revealed that, after Hogwarts, Luna pursues a career that is “the wizarding equivalent” of a naturalist. She also accepted that some of her father’s beliefs were, after all, not so true. She married a fellow naturalist named Rolf, the grandson of Newt Scamander. Luna and Rolf had twin boys, Lorcan and Lysander. After Harry and Ginny are married, they name their daughter Lily Luna.

Hogwarts Dream-cast | William Moseley as Kennilworthy Whisp

I feel that Kennilworthy belongs in Hufflepuff. I truly do. He’s so humble as a person, collecting vintage broomsticks and being a Quidditch fanatic - I can’t think of a better choice. Kennil’s age was not tipped at all in the novels, so I presume him to be about Arthur and Molly’s age - MAYBE.

For this particular one where William is cast as Kennil - I think he’s a student sometime in the late 80’s. I think he was a seeker in his days as a Hogwarts student. After graduating, his love for Quidditch manifested into a best-selling book, Quidditch Through the Ages.

Kennil might a muggle-born, maybe a half-blood. One of those two.

Hogwarts Dream-cast | Jamie Bell as Newton “Newt” Artemis Fido Scamander

Newt Scamander was born in 1897. So on his 7th year, at the age of 17-18, it was 1914. Presumably for decades now, Hogwarts have adapted the Victorian-esque uniforms that is displayed in Harry’s time.

I placed Newt in Gryffindor cause I don’t think any other house is suitable for him. He’s like Hagrid. Can you imagine Hagrid being in other houses? (I said Hagrid cause Newt is a beast lover and famously wrote Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - read it, great book!)

After graduating from Hogwarts, Scamander joined the Ministry of Magic in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. His career included a brief stint in the Office of House-Elf Relocation, a transfer to the Beast Division, the creation of the Werewolf Register in 1947, the 1965 passage of the Ban on Experimental Breeding, and many research trips for the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau. His contributions to Magizoology earned him an Order of Merlin, Second Class in 1979.

I was looking at a list of actors and passed by Jamie’s name. I immediately thought of Newt Scamander. I don’t know why, but I truly believe that Jamie poses a younger Newt’s look - although we have no idea about Newt’s visage… at all.

I also like to think that his grandson, Rolf, would look like this grandfather. Can you imagine Luna marrying this image?

Hogwarts Dream-cast | Kelly Macdonald as Helena Ravenclaw

It’s not really a dream cast since her role was already cast in the film. Kelly actually replaced another actress in the film. I suppose it’s a dream cast since I really loved Kelly’s performance and she was perfect for the role of Helena.

In my mind, Helena Ravenclaw excels in astrology. I think it’s astrology - I forgot what it’s called. But it’s the study of the stars, fate, everything seen in the galaxy that is taught at Hogwarts. I can’t imagine her liking Charms or Potions too much even though she’s one of the most intelligent student witches in her time (being the daughter of Ravenclaw).

I didn’t give Helena a uniform cause I don’t think Hogwarts assigned uniforms when it first opened. So I gave her a dress, a pretty badly edited one.

Hogwarts Dream-cast | Henry Cavill as Salazar Slytherin

Henry Henry Henry. I honestly thought of putting him in Gryffindor, then I placed him aside. I then looked for a Slytherin, and couldn’t think of any - and he was perfect. I imagined Salazar to be very attractive. On the attractive level as Rowena. That contributes to the Machiavellian personality. Besides, all of the Slytherins we know are very attractive. The Black Family, Bellatrix (part of the Blacks), Narcissa (repetitive), Lucius, Draco, Pansy, Tom Riddle, etc.

Salazar himself, I always like to think of him as coming from a noble family. Not just magic noble, like history noble. Noble as in they ruled over muggle peasant farmers. The entire pureblood family even have connections to some muggle English rulers. I don’t know, maybe some blood connection to Anne Boleyn who was rumored to be a witch.

Hogwarts Dream-cast | Katie McGrath as Rowena Ravenclaw

I automatically imagine Katie as Rowena Ravenclaw ever since I first saw her watching Merlin. She’s the image of Ravenclaw to me. Beauty. Dark haired. And the way she speaks acting, and candid sounds so witty.

I imagine Rowena to be part of a high class family (which is mixed of magic and muggles). The family as a whole is very intelligent and yearns for more education, making them one of the smartest families in Britain. Not only are they very intelligent, but they have class. They have style. That certainly passed down to Rowena, plus she has magic! That adds up to something.

Hogwarts Dream-cast | Holliday Grainger as Helga Hufflepuff

Helga. I imagined Helga Hufflepuff to be a bit of a plus sized girl, cause she loves her food - as do all Hufflepuffs. But as I thought about it: centuries ago, people were not even plus sized cause they move around a lot. So I reimagined her to have a round-ish cute full face. Originally with my original plan, I wanted Nikki Blonsky (but she looks too premature!), so with my new plan I have Holliday.

I like to think of Helena as a pure-blooded witch who has some muggles in her family tree, and she’s perfectly fine with it. As for her family, I like to think of them as somewhere among the high class-middle class. And that is why she cherishes a simple customized cup more than anything else. I also like to think of her as a good Christian woman - to be more specific: Catholic. She is a Catholic that also practices witchcraft for the good of humanity.

Hogwarts Dream-cast | Richard Madden as Godric Gryffindor

For Godric, I imagined him to have facial hair. Not too much though. It must be the Lion mascot that made me thought of that. I also imagined Godric to be somewhat of a warrior, a paladin. He must have used his Sword for something, as the Sword can’t perform magic but rather destroy.

Destroy is a bad way to put it, but the Sword can eliminate evil.

I didn’t put the Sword in his hand but rather on his belt (I think it’s called a belt) because I have an assumption that Godric doesn’t use magic for everything.
