I’m still working on improving this chapter; it’s not very good. But in this chapter of my Alice novel, this is how Alice reenters Wonderland. She lies down on her bed completely smitten about the man she’s betrothed to, then began to notice the physical changes in her room such as the room stretching. Thinking it was the lack of air, she was about to get up when the mattress began to sink into the bed frame, then the ground, and beyond that.
